This is a bit of carpentry and some sewing.

Anyway the first step I am doing is painting on the white. The old trunk has an unfinished wooden interior. This was sanded and then painted with white paint. The new trunk already had a finished interior. 

I don't want any splinters or anything for things to get caught on. The white on the outside of the lid will be the back drop for the Brigade's name.
