When I was dressed up and performing away from the convention several people wanted to know what band I was in. It is helpful to know how clowns fit into society in other places. If I have known the connection, I might have brought an instrument and had a musical number ready. 

On a functional level there have been a couple other clown forum websites. One of them self-destructed when the clowns got into fights with clown fans. One became the subject of a gawker article. The Greatest Internet Flame Wars Are Happening on Clown-Forum.com (gawker.com)

This part of the forum is for things tangentially related to clowning. 

It is also helpful for clowns to understand their fans. We are living in a time where clown is doing poorly in the United States. Part of this is because clowns are not doing what the people that hire them want.
